Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Onsite performance of construction and maintenance work in accordance with contract requirements
• Ensuring cost estimates are realized for maximum profit
• Pursuing and booking traditional utility and industrial project and maintenance work within assigned local area
• Understanding and communicating contract terms and conditions
• Maintaining project change management issues
• Identifying and targeting future bid opportunities
• Managing project P&L within local area of responsibility
• Overseeing, reviewing, and approving project execution
• Intermittently staffing project job sites
• Addressing, advising on, and assisting with critical issues related to projects within area of responsibility
• Communicating significant project issues to management
• Ensuring compliance of project and personnel in accordance with Company policies and ethics programs
• Developing and managing talent within area of responsibility
• Challenging project team(s) to be customer and performance driven
• Developing and managing talent within assigned district
• Intermittently representing BWCC opposite organized labor on jurisdictional issues, pre-job conferences, and the grievance process
• Occasionally representing BWCC opposite organized labor on collective bargaining committees and apprenticeships committees for local area of responsibility
• Occasionally overseeing contract negotiation within area of responsibility
• Intermittently overseeing contract execution issue resolution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or technical degree required
• 6+ years of relevant construction and project experience required
• 5+ years of management experience required
• Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Ability to influence at all levels
• Attention to detail and organization required
• Ability to multi-task
