About the role

The Tourism Counselor role involves providing travel information and assistance to visitors at a welcome center, supporting daily operations, and managing brochure displays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume environment
• Interact with the public effectively
• Perform general office duties
• Stock brochures and assist the center manager
• Lift up to 40 pounds, walk extensively, and stand for long periods

Skills

• Ability to work independently
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work holidays and weekends
• Knowledge of Virginia’s travel routes and products is preferred
• Industry experience is a plus

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Physical stamina
• Familiarity with travel information

Pay

$15.00 per hour
