Tourism Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Tourism Coordinator to help develop and promote high-quality visitor experiences across the Galson Estate. You will work at the heart of a community-owned organisation, collaborating with local businesses, groups, and tourism partners to bring the 'Visit North Lewis' offer to life.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement visitor experience programs
• Collaborate with local businesses and tourism partners to enhance the 'Visit North Lewis' offer
• Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the community-led tourism economy
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

Requirements

• Hold a degree, HND, or HNC (ideally in tourism or a related field, but others are considered)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to build effective partnerships

Qualifications

• Graduated within the last four years
• No more than one year’s graduate-level experience
• Resident in the Highlands and Islands for the duration of the placement

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organisational and project management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of tourism industry practices and trends

Pay

The role offers a salary of £26,780, supported by the HIE Graduate Placement Programme, with potential for progression.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 12-month graduate placement (37 hours per week).
