Schedule

• 9.5 months per year (school year calendar)
• 5 days per week (Monday through Friday)
• 3.75 hours per day (7:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.)
• 204 paid work days per year

Pay

• Hourly rate: $23.11 - $28.17 (Range 22)

Requirements

• Open to PYLUSD permanent employees, substitutes, and external applicants
• Interviews will begin with permanent applicants qualified for an interview
• At least two references must be provided on the application
• Must meet one of the following:
  • Completion of 48 units of college coursework
  • AA degree or higher
  • Passage of Instructional Aide Testing (ESSA)
• Copy of transcript (degree or unofficial transcript showing minimum 48 college units) or proof of passing ESSA test required
• Current resume required
• Selected candidates must complete a DOJ/FBI LiveScan background check

Testing Information

• Instructional Aide Test (ESSA) required if no college units or degree
