About the role

Tower Top Technicians support all aspects of telecommunication installations including the construction and maintenance of telecommunication structures. This role ensures that work is performed in the safest manner possible while delivering a high-quality product to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Climbing and working on top of communications towers; installing, replacing, and repairing antenna equipment
  • Taking direction from crew Foreman to ensure safety and quality standards are met while adhering to project budgets and timelines
  • Reviewing documentation with Foreman to prepare for the build, assembling necessary materials, and determining required installation methods
  • Helping supervise the tracking of all on-site inventory and materials
  • Performing tower inspections, inventories, and other various audits
  • Collecting, reviewing, and submitting all on-site closeout documentation per deliverable timelines
  • Assisting with training crew members on proper safety/quality standards to align with CCDP (Crew Career Development Program)
  • Maintaining issued equipment and reporting deficiencies as needed

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of Tower Top Telecommunications experience
  • Ability to maintain physical capability to climb daily
  • Knowledge of all types of rigging on various tower types
  • Ability to troubleshoot on-site alarms
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to the set schedule
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
  • Valid driver’s license preferred with a driving record that meets Company requirements
  • Ability to travel away from home, including weekends
  • Must be able to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with a 50 lb. load
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
