Responsibilities
- Works with standard tool room equipment such as but not limited to: mills, lathes, and grinders
- Reads and interprets standard industry mechanical drawings of tooling and products
- Completes engineering changes and modifies molds
- Troubleshoots and repairs molds
- Prepares molds for production
- Repairs/changes configurations of molds based on production needs
- Prepares molds for storage following production runs
- Design and build secondary fixtures
- Works with standard tool room measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: micrometers, vernier, calipers, indicators, and scales
- Support continuous improvement through LEAN and HPT
- Keeps a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Prior experience with tool and die making in injection molding is required
- 6 years of tool & die making experience in plastic injection molds is required
- At least 2 years machining experience
- CAD/CAM knowledge is preferred
- An ability to read prints and work with mathematical concepts
- An ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is preferred
- Mechanical aptitude required
- Basic computer skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
- Must be able to effectively interact with others
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Pay
Pay Range: $25.75/hr to $38.75/hr
