Tooling Services Order Specialist

About the role

SATAIR is seeking a Tooling Services Order Specialist to join our team in Herndon, VA. This role contributes to the team by supporting customer support, managing tool sales, and maintaining internal team interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Customer Support: 40%

  • Focal point of contact for customers in the Americas regarding tool lease services.
  • Process customer requests for tool lease quotations and incoming orders.
  • Ensure smooth progress of order handling and follow up according to customer requirements.
  • Proactively notify customers about their order status.
  • Monitor and report customer Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

• Tool Sale: 40%

  • Interface between supplier, customer, and internal organizations for all tool sales.
  • Follow up with customers for tooling returns and warranty claims.
  • Support customer tool order packages; coordinate with tool services management in Hamburg.

• Internal Team Interface: 20%

  • Generate customer order status reports and internal tool order status reports.
  • Work closely with local repair shops and internal customers to ensure tools are properly maintained and repaired.
  • Manage customer lease return and Airbus stock tools repairs and recertification.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirement: Associates degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Procurement or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a customer service function.
• Skills: Analytical skills, experience in developing reports, proficiency in G Suite, Excel, or Google Sheets, strong technical background, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

• Vision: Able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment.
• Hearing: Able to hear and participate in conversations and safety warnings or alarms.
• Sitting: Able to sit for long periods of time.
• Lifting: Able to lift up to 30lbs/14kgs.
• Standing: Able to stand for discussions and on the production floor.
• Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
