A fantastic privately owned company with 35 years in business is seeking a Qualified Plastic Injection Designer/Engineer to join their growing team. This opportunity values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 4+ years of mold/tool maker experience with demonstrated ability to build, repair, and troubleshoot injection molds
- High-cavitation mold experience and familiarity with complex, multi-cavity production tooling
- CAD model building expertise and strong SolidWorks capability with complex assemblies
- Full mold layout design of gating, cooling, venting, and ejection systems
- HDPE molding experience and understanding of flow behavior, shrink, cooling, and high-volume production needs
- DFM and GD&T analysis with ability to design for manufacturability and precision
- Modular tooling architecture experience with common mold bases, standardized inserts, and interchangeable cavities
- Tooling reuse strategies for designing scalability and asset utilization
- MasterCAM experience for daily use in machining and toolpath creation
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction or need for current/future sponsorship
