Tooling Design Engineer

We are a fantastic privately owned company with 35 years in business in the Eugene, OR area, seeking a Qualified Plastic Injection Designer/Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 4+ years of mold/tool maker experience with demonstrated ability to build, repair, and troubleshoot injection molds
• High-cavitation mold experience and familiarity with complex, multi-cavity production tooling
• CAD model building expertise and strong SolidWorks capability with complex assemblies
• Full mold layout design of gating, cooling, venting, and ejection systems
• HDPE molding experience and understanding of flow behavior, shrink, cooling, and high-volume production needs
• DFM and GD&T analysis with ability to design for manufacturability and precision
• Modular tooling architecture experience with common mold bases, standardized inserts, and interchangeable cavities
• Tooling reuse strategies for designing scalability and asset utilization
• MasterCAM experience for daily use in machining and toolpath creation
• Eligibility to work in the United States without restriction or need for current/future sponsorship
