Job Requirements
- Perform in-shop diagnostics and repairs on customer-owned units and store equipment.
- Provide thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs on assigned work orders.
- Utilize appropriate tools and adhere to all safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Assist customers with tool and equipment rentals, purchases, and service needs.
- Demonstrate proper equipment usage and preventive maintenance techniques.
- Deliver top-tier customer service by offering expert product knowledge and tailored solutions.
- Ensure all rental equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe for customer use.
- Repair and maintain outdoor power equipment, including riding lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, generators, and pressure washers.
- Support sales and service needs for brands such as Milwaukee, Toro, EGO, STIHL, John Deere, and Honda.
- Mentor Service Technician Trainees and assist in developing team members' technical skills.
- Participate in dealer training programs to enhance product knowledge and repair expertise.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment after completing the required training and certification.
- Follow company policies, OSHA regulations, and state-mandated safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong technical knowledge of small engines and their components.
- Proficiency with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Able to read and follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Forklift certification is a plus (training will be provided if needed).
- Comfortable working in a repair shop environment using standard equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift/carry objects up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, bending, reaching, and pushing.
- Comfortable working in an animal-friendly environment (accommodations available upon request).
