About the role

Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for the weekend shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday 3:30am - 4:00pm). Overtime is available as needed. This role involves electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment and facilitating repairs to support production demands.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Periodic Maintenance on all assigned equipment, with work assignments communicated via automated text messaging and completion logged via computer keyboard entries.
  • Determine equipment priorities based on production demands and interface with production supervisors.
  • Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches, or drawings.
  • Make accurate inputs of repair actions into the maintenance program as they occur.
  • Receive and prioritize machine repair actions for assigned area.
  • Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
  • Self-govern and self-drive daily maintenance activities, with direction from the Lead person.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Industrial Electro/Mechanical Systems Maintenance or 5 years of equivalent experience.
  • Specific training in Electrical and/or Electronic Theory.
  • Specific training in Mechanical Systems Maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and all source materials related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operational condition.
  • Proficiency in using proper tools and test equipment to facilitate repairs.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform bending, twisting, and reaching motions to manipulate loads of at least 30 lbs.
  • Capability to use all required personal protective equipment and adhere to OSHA-recommended electrical and machine safety practices.

Schedule

Weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 3:30am - 4:00pm. Overtime available as needed.
