Tooling Technician 1 - Weekend Shift

Responsibilities

• Buff and body work metal and composite tooling
• Apply prep chemicals to molds
• Inspection of overall tool quality to type design
• Basic tool preventative maintenance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of comparable composite work experience or 3 years manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools
• Willingly to learn, be adaptable, accept changes and challenges
• Ability to read, analyze and interrupt blueprints, specs, technical drawings, procedures or regulations
• Ability to write routine reports and procedures
• Possess strong troubleshooting skills
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems
• Ability to communicate and respond to common questions from supervisors, leads, and co-workers
• Ability to present complex information to management
• Attention to detail required
• Must be able to work as part of a team
