About the role
Responsible for die maintenance, as well as other general maintenance duties.
Responsibilities
- Die Maintenance:
- Die Repair (sharpening, part replacement, etc.)
- Preventive Maintenance (troubleshooting, cleaning, repair, lubricating, etc.)
- Predictive Maintenance (inspection, troubleshooting, repair, modifications & adjustment, etc.)
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Assistance with Overhead Cranes
- Assistance with all Blanking Presses
- Assistance with all Slitting Lines
- Assistance with Forklifts
- Assistance with Overhead Doors
- Assistance with Plumbing
- General Maintenance:
- Assistance with Main Office
- Assistance with Plant
- Assistance with Grounds
- Welding:
- Equipment maintenance
- Perform various welding
- Shop Equipment Maintenance:
- Lathes
- Grinders
- Welding Equipment
- Drills
- Vertical Mills
- Miscellaneous Equipment
- New Project Fabrication:
- Design
- Layout
- Assembly
- Testing
- Environmental Management System:
- EMS Response Team member
- Working knowledge of instructions and procedures concerning environmental management
- Other duties as assigned:
- On call 24 hours, 7 days
- Authority to stop production if necessary to correct quality or safety problems
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in die repair
- 4 years of High School or GED
Skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Ability to attend to detail and maintain accuracy
- Knowledge of tools used in fabrication and repair: welders, torches, measuring devices, general hand tools, etc.
- Ability to communicate with other employees by verbal and written directions
- Clerical skills needed to document work completed
- Knowledge of machine hydraulic, electrical, and other basic control systems
- Knowledge of electrical test equipment used in machine troubleshooting and repair
