Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Repair, grind, shim, and sharpen a variety of single station and progressive stamping dies for steel and aluminum.
  • Assist with manufacturing spare detail sections for critical stamping dies.
  • Assist with manufacturing spare parts for a variety of other metal forming equipment (e.g., Riveters).
  • Remove and set up larger progressive stamping dies in 300-400-ton presses.
  • Assist with training Die Setters on proper set up of smaller stamping dies.
  • Assist with manufacturing and assembly of machined parts for custom in-house-built equipment to support manufacturing processes.
  • Support plant manufacturing operations as needed.

Education And/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in a metal stamping facility.

Technical Skills

  • Basic math skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time on the manufacturing floor.

Work Conditions

  • Regularly exposed to manufacturing equipment and machinery, forklifts, and pallets.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Regularly exposed to hot and cold weather conditions.
