Scope of Work

• Transcribe Tongan audio and video content into accurate written text with precise timestamps.
• Analyze and describe the emotional tone and intent of speakers across various scenarios.
• Review transcribed material for grammatical structure, clarity, and fluency in both Tongan and English.
• Define and contextualize complex or idiomatic Tongan words and expressions for non-native users.
• Provide detailed feedback on language usage, tone, and linguistic nuances present in the content.
• Collaborate with project coordinators to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute to refining AI language models through specialized linguistic tasks and insights.

Preferred Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in both Tongan and English, with superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience with audio/video transcription and timestamping at a professional level.
• Strong attention to emotional context, tone analysis, and speaker intent within linguistic material.
• Advanced knowledge of Tongan grammar, vocabulary, idioms, and cultural context.
• Background in linguistics, translation, localization, or related language services is highly regarded.
• Able to deliver thorough and well-structured linguistic analysis on complex language tasks.
• Self-driven and detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality and at least 15 hours of engagement per week.
