About the role
The Texas School Safety Center (TxSSC) is an official university-level research center at Texas State University. The TxSSC is tasked in Chapter 37 of the Texas Education Code and the Governor’s Homeland Security Strategic Plan with key school safety initiatives and mandates. The TxSSC serves as the clearinghouse for the dissemination of safety and security information through research, training, and technical assistance for K-12 schools and junior colleges throughout the state of Texas.
The role of the FDA Tobacco Compliance Data Specialist is to assist in the overall administration, coordination, training, and monitoring of the FDA Tobacco Compliance Check Program in Texas.
Responsibilities
- Creates and revises training materials
- Updates and maintains multiple databases with highly sensitive data to track program information and meet contractual requirements
- Prepares and processes program documents
- Organizes correspondence to evaluate monthly program eligibility requirements for Contractors, who serve as FDA Inspectors for the program
- Validates completion of work and processes contractor invoices for payment
