Responsibilities
- Enforce the highest standards of quality and service.
- Ensure food is replenished in a timely manner.
- Manage schedules, team members PTO time, maintain timecards and manage labor.
- Assist with multiple-shift operations for (hot bar, salad bar, soup bar, and coffee station).
- Prepare a variety of food products (breakfast/lunch, prepared foods, and salad bar items).
- Oversee kitchen staff, assign tasks, and set tone and pace of the kitchen.
- Maintain department profitability, appearance, and supervise team members.
- Review and analyze department sales, waste, and labor reports.
- Supervise team members, ensuring service standards are always being met.
- Process and submit orders; keeping track of department inventory.
- Monitor quality, freshness and safeguard proper product rotation.
- Adhere to all DOH, DOA and OSA standards.
- Ensure department is cleaned and maintained throughout all shifts.
- Maintain accurate department signage and pricing.
- Keep records of temperatures, production, spoilage, and department transfers by way of department log.
- Direct and support team members on department opening and closing procedures.
- Assist Department Manager with hiring, training and the development of all team members.
- Cultivate, develop and retain team members by way of motivation, and providing feedback.
- Adhere to all assigned duties by management team.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ kitchen supervisor experience.
- Flexibility schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of job including standing during scheduled hours, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, lifting, push and pull items of usually 50-60 pounds.
- Food safety and sanitation knowledge.
- Ability to show initiative, work with limited supervision, and are self-motivated.
- Ability to hire, train, inspire and develop a team.
- Team builder and brand ambassador.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Analytical thinking and proficiency in math needed to perform job responsibilities.
- Proficient computer knowledge and skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
