Responsibilities
Performs complex medical work, including administrative medical activities. The role involves reviewing complaints against a practitioner received by the agency, the associated medical records pertaining to the complaint, and physician narratives to determine if the standard of care was met.

- Determines if complaints received should be filed for formal investigation
- Performs related duties as assigned (10%)
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited university or college of medicine with a degree as a Medical Doctor
- Licensed as a medical doctor by the State of Texas
- Experience in medical, clinical, or public health work
- Completion of a residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education

- Knowledge of medical methods, procedures, and trends
- Knowledge of the principles and practices in the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans
- Knowledge of the principles of public health practices; and of disease management and risk analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize information and evidence
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Work Environment Requirements
Due to office space limitations, the principal job functions may be performed in a home-based office environment that requires regular and punctual attendance, responding to internal and external communications in a timely manner, and frequent use of personal computers, copiers, printers, and telephones.

Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions
The principal job is performed in a standard office and requires a dedicated, quiet, and secure workspace that ensures privacy and minimal distractions to maintain confidentiality while working remotely. Reliable and secure high-speed internet access with a minimum of 20 MBPS download and 2 MBPS upload is also required.
Pay
Monthly Salary: $10,106.25
Schedule
Full-time, Monday-Friday, with a target start date of 9/15/2026
