Title Technician, Maint Facilities 1

Based in Yakima, WA, Triumph Actuation and Landing Gear Systems specializes in hydraulic actuators, valves, manifolds, fuses, and repeatable release holdback bars for military and commercial aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, design, retrofit, and repair electrical systems, electronic controls, automation systems, PLCs, communication systems, servo drive systems, and computer-related equipment.
• Perform CNC machine tool mechanical, geometrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair precise high-pressure hydraulic systems and filtration systems.
• Maintain critical component inventory control.
• Schedule and perform annual, semi-annual, and quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) on machine tools and facility equipment.
• Act as the focal point for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) by collecting, reviewing, and reporting TPM completion sheets.
• Perform miscellaneous fabrication work to support production needs.
• Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures.
• Collaborate with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems.
• Assist the maintenance supervisor in creating task SOPs and work instructions (WIs).
• Collaborate with technical staff and management to identify process improvements and plant changes.
• Assist in developing and implementing action plans to diagnose root causes of equipment issues.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and contributing to risk mitigation.
• Participate in FOD, 5S, TPM, PM, and Process Improvement programs to enhance department effectiveness.
• Train others on job tasks in which you are proficient.
• Available for unannounced overtime and "on call" for weekend emergencies.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (10% shift premium added to base hourly rate).
• 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (15% shift premium added to base hourly rate).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Okuma machine tool controls preferred.
• Carpentry and plumbing experience a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with National Electrical Code (NEC) or NFPA 70 standards.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Proficiency with precision measuring devices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints, wire schematics, and machine literature.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Qualifications

• Maint Facilities Technician 1: 1 year of industrial maintenance, CNC machine tool, or hydraulics experience. Two-year technical degree in a related field preferred.
• Maint Facilities Technician 2: 3 years of industrial maintenance, CNC machine tool, or hydraulics experience. Two-year technical degree with 1 year of experience preferred.
• Maint Facilities Technician 3: 5 years of industrial CNC machine tool or hydraulics experience, or a two-year technical degree with 3 years of experience.

Pay

• Maint Facilities Technician 1: $22.50 - $31.00/hour
• Maint Facilities Technician 2: $26.50 - $36.00/hour
• Maint Facilities Technician 3: $31.00 - $43.00/hour

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role requires regular sitting, talking, hearing, standing, walking, and using hands to handle tools or controls. Occasional reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is necessary. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
