About the Role

The Maintenance Facilities Technician will perform maintenance duties on plant equipment and machines, including troubleshooting, designing, retrofitting, and repairing electrical systems, electronic controls, automation systems, PLCs, communication systems, servo drive systems, and computer-related equipment.

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (10% shift premium added to base hourly rate)
• 3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (15% shift premium added to base hourly rate)

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, design, retrofit, and repair electrical systems, electronic controls, automation systems, PLCs, communication systems, servo drive systems, and computer-related equipment.
• Perform CNC machine tool mechanical, geometrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
• Design, install, troubleshoot, and repair precise high-pressure hydraulic systems and filtration systems.
• Maintain critical component inventory control.
• Schedule and perform annual, semi-annual, and quarterly preventive maintenance (PM) on machine tools and facility equipment.
• Act as the focal point for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) by collecting, reviewing, and reporting TPM completion sheets throughout the facility.
• Perform miscellaneous fabrication work to support production needs.
• Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and procedures.
• Work with support resources and cell leaders to resolve production problems.
• Assist the maintenance supervisor in creating task SOPs and WIs.
• Collaborate with technical staff and management to identify process improvements and plant changes.
• Assist in developing and implementing action plans to diagnose the root cause of equipment issues.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and contributing to risk mitigation management teams.
• Contribute to team efforts by maintaining a positive attitude and striving to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Participate in FOD, 5S, TPM, PM, and Process Improvement programs to enhance department effectiveness.
• Train others on job tasks in which you are proficient.
• Available for unannounced overtime and "on call" for weekend emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent (required).
• Experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Okuma machine tool controls (preferred).
• Carpentry and plumbing experience (a plus).

Qualifications by Level

• Maintenance Facilities Technician 1:
  • 1 year of industrial maintenance, CNC machine tool, or hydraulics experience.
  • Two-year technical degree in a related field with industrial CNC machine tool or hydraulics experience (preferred).
• Maintenance Facilities Technician 2:
  • 3 years of industrial maintenance, CNC machine tool, or hydraulics experience.
  • Two-year technical degree in a related field with 1 year of industrial CNC machine tool or hydraulics experience (preferred).
• Maintenance Facilities Technician 3:
  • 5 years of industrial CNC machine tool or hydraulics experience; or
  • Two-year technical degree in a related field with 3 years of industrial CNC machine tool or hydraulics experience (preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) or NFPA 70 standards.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Experience with precision measuring devices.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints, wire schematics, and machine literature.
• Ability to follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Pay

• Maintenance Facilities Technician 1: $22.50 - $31.00/hour
• Maintenance Facilities Technician 2: $26.50 - $36.00/hour
• Maintenance Facilities Technician 3: $31.00 - $43.00/hour
