Title Insurance Director of Operations - Tennessee

Hybrid role based in Tennessee. Join Investors Title as a Director of Operations and play a key role in driving operational excellence, agency growth, underwriting support, and settlement strategy across the state.

About the role

This leadership position offers the opportunity to partner with agency owners, field representatives, and corporate teams to strengthen operations, enhance client service, and support profitable market expansion. You will drive meaningful impact through agency development, process improvement, and business growth initiatives; partner with experienced underwriting, marketing, and operations leaders; influence training, technology adoption, automation, and service delivery standards; develop and maintain strong relationships with agency owners, industry partners, and key stakeholders; and guide staffing decisions, enhance operational performance, and position agencies for long-term success.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational support, training, auditing, and performance for agency partners throughout Tennessee.
• Develop and support new agency openings, operational growth plans, and market expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to strengthen existing relationships and attract new business.
• Establish and advance settlement standards, best practices, automation initiatives, and performance metrics.
• Ensure agency compliance with underwriting, settlement, financial control, and operational requirements.
• Provide leadership and direction in staffing and employee development.
• Partner with underwriting, claims, and corporate teams to mitigate risk and improve operational outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in title insurance, settlement operations, or closely related field involving real estate transactions.
• Experience leading and managing teams.
• Strong relationship-building, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to analyze operational challenges, resolve conflicts, and drive results.
• Proficiency with business technology and computer systems.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience working within a title agency environment.
• Experience leading operational growth, agency development, or multi-location operations.
• Knowledge of title insurance underwriting, settlement procedures, and agency compliance practices.
