About the Role

Under the supervision of the Title I supervisor and in cooperation with the teachers, the Title I Tutor assists students to improve their basic reading skills, math skills, and self-esteem. Incumbents must display patience and understanding in order to achieve desired results.

Schedule

• 3.2 hours per day
• 160 days per year
• Approximately 9:00 AM – 2:45 PM, two days per week

Pay

• $17.24 per hour (2026-27 Support Salary Table)
• Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase

Requirements

Educational Requirements

• High school graduation
• Minimum of two years (48 semester hours) of full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate’s degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional math and reading test

Knowledge & Ability

• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
• Ability to work well with children, displaying patience and understanding
