About the Role

To provide instructional services to students, planning, organizing, and delivering instruction in an environment that supports student success. The role focuses on helping students learn subject matter and skills that contribute to their educational and social development.

Responsibilities

• Support the school's mission and Title I program to ensure student success.
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers to diagnose and monitor student progress, determining appropriate instructional intervention strategies.
• Analyze and use assessment results to improve instruction.
• Provide frequent student progress updates to teachers during each 9-week period.
• Meet regularly with Title I teachers to discuss lesson plans, student needs, and instructional strategies.
• Communicate regularly with classroom teachers regarding lesson plans, student information, and progress.
• Participate in staff development opportunities focused on working with students and families.
• Manage instructional time effectively by preparing materials in advance, starting lessons promptly, and maintaining high student engagement.
• Establish and enforce clear rules for student behavior, participation, and movement during instructional activities.
• Monitor student behavior consistently, addressing inappropriate behavior while maintaining student dignity.
• Begin lessons with a review of previous material and clearly introduce learning objectives.
• Present lessons using clear, precise language and relevant examples or demonstrations.
• Assign tasks with a high likelihood of student success and maintain an appropriate instructional pace.
• Ensure smooth transitions between lessons and activities, clarifying assignments and summarizing key points.
• Maintain clear work standards and due dates, circulating to monitor student performance during classwork.
• Use oral, written, and other assessments to check student progress and pose questions clearly.
• Provide timely feedback on in-class and out-of-class work to encourage student growth.
• Affirm correct responses and provide sustaining feedback for incorrect or no responses.
• Develop and maintain an instructional plan aligned with school and system-wide curricular goals.
• Use diagnostic information to revise objectives and tasks based on student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Align instructional plans with objectives, learning strategies, assessments, and student needs at an appropriate difficulty level.
• Utilize available human and material resources to support the instructional program.
