Title I Tutor - Purvis Lower Elementary

About the role

These Tutors work in the classroom alongside the teacher during lessons, providing academic support for selected students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or small group instruction
• Provide documentation of student progress
• Work with teacher(s) to determine appropriate interventions
• Maintain required documentation of services provided (up to 19 hours per week)
• Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
• Support the Lamar County School District Mission Statement
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Passing scores on "Work Keys" test or completion of 48 college credits
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Required references and background check

Pay

Salary, days, and work year as established by the Lamar County Board of Education.
