Title I Tutor - Purvis Lower Elementary

Job Title: Purvis Lower Title I Tutor Reports to: Principal Receives Guidance From: Principal, Lead Teacher, Administrator Job Purpose These Tutors are working in the classroom with students as the teacher presents the lessons.Provide academic support for selected students Duties And Responsibilities Provide individual and/or small group instructionProvide documentation of student progressWork with teacher(s) to determine appropriate interventionsMaintain required documentation of services provided up to 19 hours per weekDemonstrates prompt and regular attendanceSupports the Lamar County School District Mission StatementPerform other duties assigned by Supervisor Qualifications Education Level: High School Diploma or equivalentPassing scores on "Work Keys" test or completion of 48 college creditsAbility to communicate effectively both orally and in writingOther Requirements: Required references and background check Terms Of Employment Salary, days and work year as established by the Lamar County Board of Education Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Lamar County School Board policy on Evaluation of Employees.
