SI Title Tutor - Purvis Upper Elementary School

Job Purpose

These Tutors are working in the classroom with students as the teacher presents the lessons. Provide academic support for selected students.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or small group instruction
• Provide documentation of student progress
• Work with teacher(s) to determine appropriate interventions
• Maintain required documentation of services provided up to 19 hours per week
• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
• Supports the Lamar County School District Mission Statement
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Passing scores on "Work Keys" test or completion of 48 college credits
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Required references and background check

Terms of Employment

Salary, days and work year as established by the Lamar County Board of Education.
