About the role
We are seeking an experienced Title/Escrow Office Manager to oversee residential real estate transactions from contract through closing and post-closing.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete real estate closing process from contract to post-closing.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, brokers, and other parties throughout the transaction.
- Review title commitments and resolve title issues to ensure clear title prior to closing.
- Ensure compliance with lender instructions, title requirements, and company procedures.
- Prepare and review settlement statements, closing documents, and disbursement packages.
- Conduct real estate closings and address customer questions throughout the process.
- Verify file balances, receipt of funds, payoff statements, taxes, HOA dues, and other closing requirements prior to disbursement.
- Review legal descriptions, acknowledgments, and recorded documents for accuracy.
- Prepare and issue title insurance policies following closing.
- Perform escrow account reconciliations and resolve outstanding balances or shortages.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, real estate professionals, lenders, and business partners.
- Assist with additional office and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of title and escrow experience.
- Previous experience in an escrow office management, senior closer, or lead closer role preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential real estate closings, escrow procedures, title commitments, and title insurance.
- Experience resolving title issues and coordinating closing requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple transactions and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with SoftPro is preferred.
- Experience working with real estate agents, brokers, lenders, buyers, and sellers.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Notary Public Preferred.
- Title License preferred or willingness to obtain.
Schedule
- Full-time, in-office position.
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
- Some travel between office locations may be required.
