About the role
The Tire Inspector position at Titan is responsible for trimming, palletizing, and making minor repairs to large industrial tires in the truck final. This role also involves maintaining safety protocols and ensuring high-quality products through effective processes.
Responsibilities
- Trim tires incoming from curing presses
- Remove all vents from tread and sidewall areas
- Change and sharpen knife blades as needed and clean mold flash from knives
- Make minor repairs to tires as required
- Paint, buff off, patch off-fly tires
- Visually inspect tires during and after trimming for all defects, both major and minor
- Mark all defects and record, sort finished tires by catalog number, stack tires, glue and label, and attach production record cards
- Store tires in designated areas
- Ensure all materials are accounted for and the product quality is maintained
- Maintain quality assurance reports and checks
- Cover all activities and safety to maintain a continuous production operation
- Report all required operation records and charts
- Maintain upkeep of all equipment and make necessary adjustments to ensure production flow
- Report or correct equipment malfunctions, unsafe equipment and acts, material/product deviations to supervisor immediately
- Keep a clean and safe work area throughout the shift
Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
