Paving Inspector
About the role

Responsibilities
- Interface with contractors and attend meetings.
- Mentor or supervise other inspectors, on behalf of resident engineer, or project manager.
- Complete daily reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities.
- Cook up independent material sampling and testing.
- Coordinate maintenance of traffic.
- Take and compile photographs, for tracking of daily progress.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma
- 7 years applicable experience
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, design plans and specifications
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Requirements
- Average proficiency with MS WORD Suite
- NETTCP HMA certifications, or ability to attain within 3-months of hiring
- Hands-on experience with construction management software such as Site or Field Manager, APPIA, Procore, IPD or similar systems
- Knowledge of Bluebeam
Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or related field
Skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Reading and interpreting shop drawings, design plans and specifications
- Driver's license

Pay
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
Schedule
The position can be based out of Portland, Augusta or Eliot, ME, or Merrimack, NH.
