Timekeeping Coordinator I
Job Overview
Job Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, and input employee timecard data into the designated timekeeping system.
- Review time entries for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies, union agreements, and labor laws.
- Communicate with employees and supervisors to resolve discrepancies or clarify missing information on timecards.
- Generate and distribute various timekeeping reports as required by management or project teams.
- Aid in the setup and maintenance of employee profiles and project codes within the timekeeping system.
- Support payroll processing by providing validated time data in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized and confidential timekeeping records.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding timekeeping procedures and pay.
- Identify and escalate complex timekeeping issues to senior staff or management.
- Participate in training and development activities to enhance timekeeping knowledge and skills.
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related field, preferably with some exposure to timekeeping or payroll functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience with timekeeping software (e.g., JD Edwards, SAP, Kronos) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes and labor regulations is desirable.
