Job Overview
Job Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and verify employee timesheets and time entries for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and project codes.
- Enter and process timekeeping data into the designated payroll and time management systems.
- Investigate and resolve time discrepancies, missing punches, and other timekeeping issues through communication with employees and supervisors.
- Aid in the implementation and maintenance of timekeeping systems and processes.
- Generate and distribute timekeeping reports to management as required.
- Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries regarding timekeeping policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized timekeeping records.
- Assist with special projects and audits related to timekeeping and payroll.
- Communicate effectively with various departments, including HR and Project Management.
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- An associate's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or administrative support roles, preferably within a construction or industrial services environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with timekeeping and payroll software (e.g., mJobTime, Workday, Oracle) is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Knowledge of basic payroll principles and labor laws is a plus.
