Tier II Network Technician

Leidos’ Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a Tier II Network Technician to support the customer’s computer data-communications systems. Responsibilities include design specifications, testing, inspections, network modeling, and implementing hardware/software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and maintenance of client LAN/WAN devices.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents, demonstrating troubleshooting skills and team communication.
• Complete tasks within Service Level Objectives/Agreements (SLOs/SLAs).
• Draft and implement standard network change requests.
• Provide support to Tier III network engineers for incident management and projects (site surveys, TEMS, coordinate/install new equipment).
• Perform configuration management: update topology drawings, maintain accurate asset records, and conduct inventory.
• Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades (knowledge of CISCO/Juniper RMA process).
• Layer 1 network experience (CAT5/6, SM/MM Fiber, Serial cables, SFP).
• Layer 2 network experience (configure/troubleshoot switches/routers, MAC addresses, VLANs, port security, thin/thick configs).
• Layer 3 network experience (subnetting, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, MPLS, LSP, GRE).
• Configure and troubleshoot layer 2 switching (VLANs, Port Security, Thin Configs).
• Perform IOS upgrades for Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and Foundry OS.
• Use Visio for network documentation.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow and Confluence.
• May have up to 10% COMSEC responsibilities based on site and team needs.
• Travel up to 20% of the time.
• Work flexible hours, including weekend support.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with CI clearance at time of consideration.
• 10 years of combined work experience and education (Doctorate + 3 years, Master’s + 4 years, Bachelor’s + 6 years, Associate’s + 8 years, or HS diploma + 10 years).
• Compliance with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Pay

Pay Range: $73,450.00 – $132,775.00. The range is a general guideline and may vary based on experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data.
