Tier I NSOC Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a Tier I NSOC Analyst to support a 24/7 Network Security Operations Center by monitoring mission-critical systems and responding to operational events. This role is responsible for identifying, documenting, and escalating alerts, assisting with incident response, and maintaining operational readiness in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support a 24/7 operations schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Monitor mission-critical communication sites and information systems for operational events.
• Classify, prioritize, document, and escalate alerts in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform event triage, data collection, and technical analysis to distinguish valid issues from false positives.
• Capture and document events received through email, chat, voice, and monitoring systems.
• Assist with network and security incident response activities.
• Collaborate with team members to improve playbooks, dashboards, metrics, and detection strategies.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate incident status and recommended response actions.
