NOC Analyst Tier 1
About the role
We are seeking a NOC Analyst Tier 1 to join our team in Springfield, VA. This role is crucial for continuous monitoring of network infrastructure health, availability, and performance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain network monitoring dashboards for availability, performance, interface status, and bandwidth utilization.
- Triage and prioritize all incoming customer calls, alerts, emails, and tickets using established playbooks.
- Isolate and troubleshoot initial issues, escalating to NOC Tier 2 for complex problems.
- Create detailed tickets for all events, documenting diagnosis and troubleshooting steps.
- Execute standard T1 playbooks such as device reboots, port resets, and BGP session resets.
- Keep the NOC Event log updated during the shift.
- Participate in briefings and training sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- One of the following certifications, equivalent, or the ability to obtain within 60 days: Sec+, Net+, CCNA.
- Basic understanding of networking and security concepts.
- Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.
- Preferred: Basic understanding of network monitoring systems and experience with ticketing systems.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, one of the specified certifications, and basic understanding of networking and security concepts. Preferred qualifications include active Secret clearance and experience with network monitoring systems and ticketing systems.
Skills
Basic understanding of networking and security concepts, ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule, and one of the specified certifications.

Pay
$65k - $100k annually.
Schedule
Rotating shift schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
