CSOC Tier 1 Analyst

About the role

The CSOC Tier 1 Analyst is responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents, conducting incident investigations, and providing technical support to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the organization’s systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
• Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents.
• Provide technical support to resolve system issues.
• Collaborate with other teams to enhance security posture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT operations.
• Experience with SIEM tools and intrusion detection systems.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and protocols.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred.
• Knowledge of common attack vectors and countermeasures.
• Experience with incident response frameworks such as NIST or DISA STIGs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

Pay

$80,000 - $100,000 annually based on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
