Ticket Seller

About the role

Fishers Event Center has an immediate opening for a part-time Ticket Seller. This role is responsible for ticket sales for shows or events.

Responsibilities

• Process single ticket sales at the ticket office and assist with group sales when requested.
• Professionally, efficiently, and courteously answer patrons’ questions concerning prices, availability, events, and related ticket office inquiries.
• Open and/or close ticket windows as required.
• Handle Will-Call window according to procedures or other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills; respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
• Work independently and handle most ticket office questions without assistance.
• File various records and reports.
• Perform related clerical work as assigned.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to work the ticket window with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ticket office or guest services background preferred.

Skills

• Ability to listen and follow instructions.
• Ability to input data into a computer to record sales transactions.
• Good communication and customer service skills; listens and seeks clarification; responds well to questions.
• Able to read and interpret written information.
• Good problem-solving skills and organizational ability.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
