THIRD GRADE TEACHER - ST. FRANCIS XAVIER SCHOOL, PHILADELPHIA, PA

About the role

Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School is seeking a full-time, benefits-eligible Third Grade Teacher for a self-contained classroom. The teacher will provide instruction in all core content areas, including Religion, ELA, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, with students attending designated specials.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across all core content areas, including Religion.
• Create a positive, structured, and faith-filled classroom environment.
• Support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of each student.
• Use assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction.
• Maintain effective classroom management and consistent student expectations.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with families, colleagues, and administration.
• Participate in school-wide activities, faith formation, professional development, and community events.
• Model and support the Catholic mission and values of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic School.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required.
• Pennsylvania teaching certification is preferred but not required.
• Candidates should demonstrate strong instructional skills, classroom management, professionalism, collaboration and a commitment to Catholic education and/or the willingness to be coached.
