Thermal Field Service Technician
About the role
The Thermal Field Service Technician supports the startup, commissioning, and scheduled or emergency service on data center cooling systems. They are also responsible for supporting products and services within the company's Thermal product family.
Responsibilities
- Support more experienced technicians on repairs and preventative maintenance duties.
- Take unit readings, measure temperatures, voltages, pressures, and controller diagnostics.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks such as coil cleaning, filter changes, fluid samples, and remediation.
- Possess an EPA 608 license within 6 months of hire.
- Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience working with Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with electrical/electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of computer logic.
- Basic HVAC understanding, though not required.
- Understand elementary fix/repair techniques under supervision.
- Strong mathematical capabilities.
- Ability to work on ladders or at heights and on roofs.
- Pass the EPA 608 license within 6 months of hire.
