Thermal Field Service Technician

About the role

The Thermal Field Service Technician supports the startup, commissioning, and scheduled or emergency service on data center cooling systems. They are also responsible for supporting more experienced technicians on repairs and preventative maintenance duties.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventative maintenance tasks including coil cleaning, filter changes, fluid samples, and fluid remediation.
• Take unit readings and measurements of temperature, voltages, pressures, and controller diagnostics.
• Establish, promote, and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives, and others as appropriate.
• Past the EPA 608 license within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Experience working with Mechanical and Electrical systems.
• Experience working with hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with electrical / electronic test equipment and fundamentals.
• Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills and understanding computer logic.
• HVAC basic understanding preferred, but not required.
• Elementary fix/repair techniques based on directed supervision.
• Strong mathematical capabilities.
• Ability to work on ladders or work comfortably at heights and on roofs.
• Must have an EPA 608 license or take the EPA 608 license exam and pass the test within 6 months of being hired.
