Therapy Supervisor

Join our team as a Therapy Supervisor and manage the delivery of WCHC counseling services under the guidance of the Behavioral Health Director. This role involves evaluating quality outcomes, clinical productivity, and patient satisfaction, as well as representing WCHC therapists at internal and external meetings.

About the Role

The Therapy Supervisor provides direct care to patients, including evaluating psychosocial conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring treatment results. This position also oversees recruitment, onboarding, and clinical supervision for trainees seeking certification, such as Clinical Interns.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, and train new employees under your supervision.
• Manage staff performance, evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions; recommend commendations or terminations.
• Conduct regular one-to-one check-ins and prepare annual appraisals.
• Review and approve time cards, leave requests, and continuing education fund requests.
• Manage call-outs or staffing shortages among therapists.
• Serve as Clinical Supervisor for all Clinical Interns within the program.
• Ensure counseling services comply with clinic protocols, professional ethics, and federal, state, and local standards.
• Collaborate with the Behavioral Health Director to inform or instruct staff on updates, guidelines, or recommendations.
• Advocate for patients and staff with compassion, cultural awareness, and emotional intelligence.
• Review and assess clinicians’ caseloads and productivity; ensure clinical services are scheduled appropriately in the electronic medical record system.
• Monitor treatment plan delivery compliance to ensure services align with the treatment plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a mental health discipline required; LCSW-C preferred.
• Current unrestricted, independent professional license.
• Certification with the MD State Board to provide oversight for graduate social work students.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (AHA-BLS/Provider).
• Compliance with continuing education requirements for licensure.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in behavioral health; FQHC experience preferred.
• Past supervisory or leadership experience.
• Public Health or Community/Rural Health Center experience is a plus.

Skills

• Facilitate regular team meetings and summarize high-level concerns with recommendations for improvement.
• Strong computer skills, including preparing correspondence, reports, and summarizing data from electronic medical records.
• Ability to lead a team of providers and support staff.
• Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities.
• Effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and community representation.
• Flexibility in workdays and hours, including weekends.

Pay

$70,000–$96,000 yearly salary.

Schedule

Flexibility in days and hours available for work, including weekends.
