Join our team as a Therapy Supervisor and play a key role in managing the delivery of counseling services at WCHC under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Director.

About the Role

The Therapy Supervisor is a self-motivated, results-oriented, and compassionate professional responsible for overseeing WCHC counseling services. You will assist the Behavioral Health Director in evaluating quality outcomes, clinical productivity, and patient satisfaction. Additionally, you may represent WCHC therapists at internal and external meetings. This role includes providing direct patient care, evaluating psychosocial conditions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring treatment results.

You will also provide direction for recruitment, onboarding, and clinical supervision for trainees seeking certification, such as Clinical Interns.

Supervision

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new employees under your supervision.
  • Manage staff performance and evaluations, including coaching, supervising, and disciplinary actions; make recommendations for commendations and termination.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one check-ins and prepare, discuss, and finalize annual appraisals.
  • Review and approve/reject time cards, leave requests, and continuing education fund requests.
  • Manage call-outs or other staffing shortages among therapists.
  • Serve as the Clinical Supervisor for all Clinical Interns within the program.
  • Ensure counseling services comply with clinic protocols and professional codes of ethics.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and contribute to the efficiency of health center operations.
  • Collaborate with the BH Director to inform or instruct BH support staff, other WCHC providers, and staff of updates, guidelines, or recommendations.
  • Advocate for both patients and therapy staff, demonstrating compassion, active listening, cultural awareness, and emotional intelligence.
  • Review and assess clinicians’ caseloads and productivity; ensure clinical services are scheduled appropriately in the electronic medical record system.
  • Monitor treatment plan delivery compliance, ensuring services align with the treatment plan.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a mental health discipline required; LCSW-C preferred.
  • Current unrestricted, independent professional license.
  • Certification with the MD State Board to provide oversight for graduate SW students.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (AHA-BLS/Provider).
  • Compliance with required license Continuing Education requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in behavioral health; FQHC experience preferred.
  • Past supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Public Health or Community/Rural Health Center experience preferred.

Skills

  • Facilitate regular team meetings and summarize high-level concerns with recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong computer skills, including preparing internal/external correspondence and reports, and summarizing data from electronic medical records.
  • Ability to lead a staff of providers and support staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Effective at working as part of a multidisciplinary team and representing the company in the community.
  • Flexibility in workdays and hours, including weekends.

Pay

$70,000–$96,000 yearly salary.
