Therapy Aide to Clinical
About the Role
This role is intended to be a hybrid position as the employee transitions to a fully licensed Physical Therapist. Starting as a Physical Therapy Aide, you will learn about the profession by working alongside our licensed clinicians to build rapport, motivate, and assist patients during treatment. As an aide, you are also responsible for the clinic’s cleanliness and covering receptionist duties as needed.
Once fully licensed and transitioned to a Physical Therapist, the role is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing a treatment program for patients referred by physicians. As a licensed Physical Therapist, you will treat a variety of specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. You will work with a broader team to maximize patient outcomes using evidence-based care.
Responsibilities
- Successfully obtain state licensure to transition to a clinical role
- Establish strong relationships with each patient to help them exceed their functional goals
- Treat 60 patients per week (once licensed)
- Demonstrate a desire to positively connect with people
- Build and maintain relationships throughout the community
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Graduate of an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program (to transition to Physical Therapist role)
- State licensure (to transition to Physical Therapist role)
