Therapist Team Leader, Talladega

About the role

Directs and organizes program activities, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic plan. Leads program planning, development, and implementation while establishing and meeting program goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Writes program narratives, contracts, procedures, and grants in a timely manner, as applicable.
• Assures that program standards and objectives are met.
• Identifies problems, evaluates alternatives, and implements effective solutions.
• Monitors division contracts and budget.
• Monitors case loads and productivity of staff.
• Ensures that staff provides coverage for crisis intervention.
• Effectively collaborates with other AltaPointe program coordinators and outside sources.
• Adheres to professional code of ethics and demonstrates the application of child/adolescent-specific competencies.
• Interviews and screens applicants when necessary and completes appropriate forms as outlined by Personnel Policy and procedures.
• Provides training in the general orientation of the facility, policies and procedures, program operations, and specific skill areas.
• Applies personnel policies and procedures consistently.
• Completes performance evaluations on supervised staff objectively and routes them to the Personnel Department on a timely basis.
• Promotes the concept of treatment teams and acts as a member of the treatment team.
• Provides positive and effective leadership, including consultation and supervision to staff as needed, individually or through group staff meetings.
• Ensures competence of staff and seeks clinical supervision and consultation as needed.
• Accepts and employs suggestions for improvement and actively works to enhance clinical and leadership skills.
• Treats consumers with care, dignity, and compassion while respecting their privacy and confidentiality.
• Assists consumers and visitors as needed and maintains a pleasant and cooperative demeanor with others.
• Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities and AltaPointe committees as required.
• Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and accesses appropriate community resources according to consumer needs.
• Follows AltaPointe policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a mental health discipline with at least two years of post-master’s experience.
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with liability insurance.
