About the role
The Public Health Services Division provides a wide range of health services including home visits for moms and babies, clinic-based medical care, and more. The division is dedicated to promoting health, livable communities, and healthy lifestyles.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist staff
- Administer physical and occupational therapy treatments
- Provide direct therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to a small caseload
- Oversee day-to-day operations and staff in CCS/MTU programs
- Respond to State requests for information, complete program reports, assist with budget preparation and contracts
- Aid in program referrals and care coordination
- Ensure quality of care and adherence to MTU statewide program updates and guidance
- Coordinate medical/DME clinics
- Serve as liaison/consultant to parents, vendors, school personnel, and community agencies
Requirements
- Two years of full-time experience or its equivalent as a Physical Therapist
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance
- Independent travel required
- Positions may require bilingual skills
- Must agree to comply with Section 11166 of the California Penal Code relating to child abuse reporting
Qualifications
- Education/Training: Possession of a valid license as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of physical and occupational therapy practices
- Experience working with diverse populations
