Therapist (Senior) Extra-Help

About the role

The Public Health Services Division provides a wide range of health services including home visits for moms and babies, clinic-based medical care, and more. The division is dedicated to promoting health, livable communities, and healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist staff
• Administer physical and occupational therapy treatments
• Provide direct therapy evaluation, treatment, and consultation to a small caseload
• Oversee day-to-day operations and staff in CCS/MTU programs
• Respond to State requests for information, complete program reports, assist with budget preparation and contracts
• Aid in program referrals and care coordination
• Ensure quality of care and adherence to MTU statewide program updates and guidance
• Coordinate medical/DME clinics
• Serve as liaison/consultant to parents, vendors, school personnel, and community agencies

Requirements

• Two years of full-time experience or its equivalent as a Physical Therapist
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance
• Independent travel required
• Positions may require bilingual skills
• Must agree to comply with Section 11166 of the California Penal Code relating to child abuse reporting

Qualifications

• Education/Training: Possession of a valid license as a Registered Physical Therapist issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of physical and occupational therapy practices
• Experience working with diverse populations
