About the role

Provides respiratory care utilizing critical thinking skills as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). responsible for assessing patients, developing, implementing, and evaluating care plans, administering medications, and delivering health education to patients and families. Acts as a clinical resource and provides leadership in patient care, contributing to healthcare improvement initiatives and supporting lifelong learning.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and provide health education
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and provide clinical leadership
• Participate in quality improvement activities and support continuous learning
• Perform other assigned duties to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current state license and RRT credential from the NBRC
• Recent clinical respiratory care experience, preferably in hospital settings
• Educational background with an AAS or BS in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC-accredited program
• Successfully completed hospital and departmental orientation

Skills

• Proficient in computer literacy, particularly Windows and Microsoft Office
• Certifications including BLS; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred
