About the role

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical respiratory care using clinical expertise, assessment, and patient evaluation. They develop, implement, and evaluate personalized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families. The role involves clinical leadership, collaboration, and participation in quality improvement activities. Candidates must demonstrate compassion and support lifelong learning.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop care plans
• Implement and evaluate treatments
• Administer prescribed medications and provide health education
• Collaborate with healthcare team members and support clinical leadership
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Complete assigned goals and support ongoing professional development

Requirements

• Current state license and RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Recent clinical respiratory care experience
• Basic computer literacy with Windows and Microsoft Office
• Valid BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred

Training & Certification

• Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation
• Entry and advanced level exams for RCPs endorsed, if applicable
