Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Assess patients' needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and support using evidence-based techniques
- Educate patients about their mental health and treatment options
- Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated on best practices
- Report and document suspected cases of abuse and neglect
- Communicate assertively and accurately
- Support changes in staffing/scheduling assignments
- Participate in clinical initiatives and projects
- Ensure patient and facility safety
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Family Therapy from an accredited school
- Experience in health care and psychiatric settings preferred
- Minimum in-training as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-IT), Marriage and Family Therapist Training License (MFT-TL), Advance Practice Social Work (APSW) or equivalent in state practicing
- Substance use specialty authorization applicable to the state hired in is required
- Working knowledge of therapeutic intervention and techniques for all age groups, as well as the dynamics of human growth and behavior
Qualifications
- Compliance with RCC and CBRF training
- American Heart Association CPR certification within 30 days of hire
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training within 60 days of hire/transfer
- Annual re-certification for NCI
- Attend mandatory and relevant in-services
- Be responsible for educational requirements and related obligations

Pay
$50.00 per hour
Schedule
Full time 40 hours/week Monday - Friday (no weekends, holidays or "on-call") 11am - 7:30pm
About the Role
The therapist leads the collaboration among an interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, and facilitate all direct social services interventions to patients assigned to their caseload and their support systems. The therapist utilizes empirically supported therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or family therapy, to aid in the stabilization and recovery of individuals with mental and behavioral health concerns.
