About the Role
This is a long-term substitute teacher position for the first semester of the 2026-27 school year, with a beginning date of August 20, 2026, and an end date of January 22, 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach Theology 10 and Faith in Action classes within a Catholic School Community
- Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities and work toward consensus with team members
- Structure student learning to meet Common Core, State, National, or other standards
- Create common formative and summative assessments with department team members
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Strategize for enrichment/intervention to meet the needs of all students
- Utilize technology (interactive boards, one-to-one devices, Google Suite) to inform instruction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the specific content area; Master's degree or higher preferred
- Preferred: Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in the content area
- Ability to teach Theology 10 and Faith in Action classes

Pay
Competitive prorated salary based on experience and education. Salary range: $37,062 - $72,450 (based on 94 days of teaching/service between August 20, 2026, and January 22, 2027). Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
Due to the length of this contract being less than 6 months, this position is not eligible for benefits.
