Teach classes in World Religion with the possibility of teaching Sacred Scripture.

Principal Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans, write assessments and maintain academic standards for World Religions course
- Embrace technology, as appropriate, to enrich our students’ learning experience
- Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide a productive, encouraging, and stimulating classroom environment
- Maintains a class resource page and online gradebook
- Evaluates and provides timely feedback on student progress appropriate to the level of instruction, and makes curricular adjustments in accordance with student needs
- With the Department Chair, selects and requisitions books, instructional aids, and instructional supplies
- Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress
- Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs by serving as an Advisor
Education
- Theology teachers should have at least one of the following degrees from an accredited institution: Graduate degree in Theology, Divinity, Religious Studies or Religious Education
- Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology, Religion or Religious Studies with 18 credits toward a graduate degree
Experience
- Experience teaching Theology and/or Religion in an academic context
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively within the community
- Must be comfortable teaching students in an all-girls Catholic School
- Experience with teaching or working with an iPad is desirable
Job Requirements
Interested applicants should be practicing Catholics willing to pursue Archdiocese of Washington sponsored certification.
