The Cove Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction
• Aids the manager in leading and supervising the outlet team
• Ensures supplies/goods are properly stocked; assists with ordering supplies/goods as necessary
• Aids in coordinating inventory control
• Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs
• Aids the manager in new hire and termination paperwork
• Participates in staff meetings and agenda
• Attends mandatory monthly department meetings and appropriate resort and division meetings
• Reports any needed repairs immediately to Maintenance using correct procedures
• Maintains thorough knowledge of pool health & safety standards
• Coordinates facility evacuations as needed for weather or health threats
• Aids the Cove Manager with preparing and monitoring budget of expenditures and projected incomes
• Makes daily reports and manager log book entries
• Performs all staff duties as necessary including desk, lifeguarding, bartending, serving, etc.
• Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
• Works closely with Red Cross of Oregon to ensure lifeguard policies are met and followed
• Ensures service standards are being applied by all team members
• Ensures cleanliness and safety of the outlet
• Promotes high associate morale
• Recommends discipline and/or termination when appropriate
• Aids the Cove Manager with continual training
• Solves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
• Maintains a strong knowledge of food & beverage trends

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required
• At least one year Food & Beverage experience preferred
• At least one year of customer service experience required
• At least one year of supervisor experience required
• Prior hospitality experience preferred
• Proficient in the use of computers and POS system(s)
