Testing Technician I
About the role
The Testing Technician is responsible for assembling and testing equipment, component parts, and finished assemblies to ensure they meet specified client and internal standards. This position may require travel to support installation, repair, or service activities in offshore and international locations.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, disassemble, and test assemblies for onshore and offshore surface and sub-sea applications.
- Interpret test data to meet client and internal specifications.
- Document test results as required on each project.
- Maintain training and competency requirements for each work center and special skill.
- Install fittings and hardware on hydraulic hoses.
- Perform high-pressure testing of hydraulic hoses, tubes, and umbilicals.
- Perform electrical testing of electrical components and umbilicals.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must possess mechanical aptitude, read blueprints, follow schematics and work instructions.
- Computer skills required with ability to interpret, record, and report test data.
- Passport may be required for international travel.
- Ability to work offshore for extended periods.
- Knowledge of hydrostatic and electrical testing preferred.
- Desired: HS diploma or equivalent.

- Passport may be required to travel outside the US.
- Ability to work offshore when needed for extended periods of time in support of offshore work or installation support.
- Knowledge of offshore work certifications and physical requirements.
- Ability to travel internationally without restrictions.
- May require proof of vaccination based on travel requirements.
